Spyware Removal Instructions

04/15/08 - Malwarebellagreement.com (Malware bell agreement) Removal Instructions

malwarebellagreement.com Descriptions: malwarebellagreement.com, which is a malicious website, is known to be relating to the latest rogue antispyware application called Malware Bell.

Malware Bell is difficult to detect and remove. Malware Bell is not likely to be removed through a convenient "uninstall" feature. Malware Bell, as well as other spyware, can re-install itself even after it appears to have been removed.

You also run the risk of damaging your computer since you're required to find and delete sensitive files in your system such as DLL files and registry keys. It is recommended you use a good spyware remover to remove Malware Bell and other spyware, adware, trojans and viruses on your computer.

Follow the following instructions at your own risk, although I did this and it worked instantly:

1) Download killbot or killbox (a process killer) http://killbox.net/

2) Delete the following file during reboot, %systemroot%\ps16sys.dll

3) When the system reboots, do a file search for malware and delete any files pertaining to "Malware Bell"

4) If you really want to be tidy, edit your registry and delete the following:

Registry Keys

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Malware Bell 3.2
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Malware Bell = C:\Program Files\Malware Bell\Malware Bell 3.2.exe
